Interested in using Lizzer to easily distribute Docstoc documents? Here are a few tips to make sure you can access, save, and embed documents all throughout the web:

1. In Docstoc: When uploading a document, make sure to choose “Upload Publicly.”  If a document has already been uploaded, you can change the privacy settings by selecting a document and then choosing “Make Public.

2. In Docstoc: Lizzer will only search the tags and description text associated with a document so you’ll need to make sure to include all relevant terms when uploading a document.

3. In Lizzer: Public documents (that were not uploaded by you) can also be saved in the Lizzer tool by clicking the heart icon at the bottom of the preview pane and then entering in relevant tags.  This content can then be searched for and accessed in the “Saved Content” bar of the Lizzer tool.

If you are still having trouble accessing Docstoc documents, just shoot us a note at support@lizzer.com.

We’ve received several questions on how to insert images from a personal Flickr account.  There are three things that you need to make sure of before inserting your images:

1. In Flickr: Privacy settings are set to public for the images that you want to use.

2. In Flickr: Images are tagged (Lizzer will only search these tags, so make sure all relevant terms are included!).

3. In Lizzer: You select the non-public Flickr service and enter your Flickr email address.

If you are still having trouble accessing your images, just shoot us a note at support@lizzer.com.

Docstoc Welcomes Lizzer

Lizzer is an incredibly powerful tool when you combine it with Docstoc, one of the largest online repositories of professional documents.  As of today, Docstoc is featuring Lizzer in the new features section of their site as a great tool to improve how users find, share, and preview documents online.

Docstoc users now have the best of both worlds. They can create and upload documents into their own account at docstoc. Then, when the mood strikes, they can simply user Lizzer to access their documents and embed them wherever they see fit.

As great as we think Lizzer is, it cannot create content out of thin air (though we are working on this…). Lizzer relies on great content services like Docstoc to help bloggers, emailers, and even Twitterers and Facebookers unlock their inner genius (apologies to the grammarians).

Lizzer featured on MakeUseOf.com

We’re all familiar with that rush when you come across a web tool that’s not just interesting, but also useful.  Out of the hundreds of thousands of web applications, very few meet this criteria, let alone are free.  MakeUseoOf.com, a web 2.0 blog that searches out and highlights these sorts of web applications, recently reviewed Lizzer calling it the “must have browser bookmarklet for bloggers and web workers.”

MakeUseOf.com’s experts have reviewed and indexed hundreds of the top web and mobile tools for their tens of thousands of users.  Our team was excited to see Lizzer featured and hope it will help the MakeUseOf.com writers (and readers) with all of their web publishing exploits.

And, we’re not going to say anything about ending a domain name with a preposition.
