The web is a pretty big place. We're intent on making Lizzer work wherever YOU want it to.
For now, we've focused on making sure Lizzer works on the biggest email and blogging platforms.
Here's where Lizzer should work (and you should let us know if it doesn't - these guys change all the time, so we have to keep up with them):
Email platforms:
Gmail,
Yahoo! mail,
MSN Hotmail,
AOL mail
Blogs:
WordPress,
Twitter,
Blogger,
Moveable Type,
TypePad,
Tumblr
Social Networks:
Facebook
Don't see your email or blogging platform? Well, just give it a try. In many cases, email platforms will “block” your ability to embed flash players (YouTube, Docstoc). In that case, there's really not much we can do. We do a little bit of jujitsu to adjust for this in Gmail, for example, and when inserting a YouTube video, we just insert an image that's linked to the page at YouTube.
In any case, if you want us to focus on adding (or fixing) a specific platform, let us know at support@lizzer.com
Unfortunately not all rich text editors support the same types of content (for example you cannot embed video content into a Gmail message). If the rich text editor does not support the content you wish to embed, try copying and pasting the source code available in the preview window. If you are still having problems, email us at support@lizzer.com and we'll see what we can do to help you out.
Relax, your video probably got inserted. With most rich text editors you will not actually be able to see the video until your message has been posted. Try publishing or previewing your blog post or sending a test email to see if it works.
Saved content is content that you have saved (like a bookmark) for later use. If you come across content that you think you might want to use again, simply click the save icon in the preview pane. Once you have saved the content and added descriptive tags, you will be able to access it at any time in the Lizzer bookmarklet as well as in your account at Lizzer.com.
We must admit, our team was rather shocked at how quickly Lizzer spread around the world. While we do not have a specific date, we are actively working to make Lizzer a truly universal tool for online publishers all across the world. As we mentioned in one of our blog posts, our goal is to have Lizzer users in all 7 continents by the end of 2009 so be sure to forward Lizzer on to your fellow bloggers (we still need users in Australia, Africa, and Antarctica...).
Not a problem, you can easily reset your password. Just email support@lizzer.com if you need assistance…
We are eager to make more content available to users and there is NO cost (yes, FREE!) to have your content featured as an optional service. Simply shoot us an email at support@lizzer.com if you are interested in becoming a Lizzer Content Service Provider and we'll get back to you with the technical requirements.
A Content Service Provider is a service (like docstoc, flickr, or Yahoo!) that makes its content available to Lizzer users. There is no cost in becoming a Content Service Provider, just some technical stuff we'll need from you. And, of course, we're limited in how much we can do at one time. We are intent on finding content service providers who serve our users, so if you have an open API to video, audio - heck, recipes, widgets, or just about anything, we're interested. Shoot us an email at support@lizzer.com if you would like to know more.
A bookmarklet is small application that is embedded in your web browser as a bookmark. They are designed to perform a wide variety of complex tasks when clicked.
Below are a few reasons why we chose to make Lizzer a bookmarklet rather than a browser add-in:
Read feed growth!
Content placement is very similar to product placement in the web environment (think Coke on American Idol, Reese's Pieces in ET, etc.). It's a less intrusive (and often more effective!) way of marketing your product or service. The difference with content place though, is that you are actually providing your audience with content that they can use and share rather than simply showing them an ad or spamming their inbox.
Instead of featuring regular display ads, Lizzer invites any company to contact placement@lizzer.com to learn more about how they can share content with potential bloggers or emailers.
Our team at digital scientists developed Lizzer in part to help with the linking and content embedding required for the maintenance of our digital marketing blog, feed growth!. We did not seek to solve some problem that we dreamed up - we simply wanted to help the millions of people who share the common frustration of linking and embedding content in blogs, emails, etc....
